cell growth curve

The cell growth curve is a graph that plots the number of cultured cells over time. The cultured cells are inoculated in a given culture vessel at regular intervals, the number of cells is counted at regular intervals, and the cell number is plotted on a graph to create a growth curve
In general, immediately after seeding cells, cell growth is somewhat slow, then enters the logarithmic growth phase, and eventually reaches a plateau, slowing or stopping cell growth, so the growth curve shows a sigmoid curve. The proliferative potential of a cell is determined by confirming the logarithmic growth phase of the cell from the cell growth curve and measuring the cell doubling time during that period. For cell types and cell lines to that are used for the first time, appropriate conditions can be examined by varying the cell density and concentration of factors to be added and creating a growth curve.
