Cells that are generated from somatic cells through artificial dedifferentiation by introducing genes or proteins, or via chemical or drug treatment, or cells that are obtained from such cells through cell division, and which at least possess the ability to differentiate into some type of endoderm, mesoderm, or ectoderm, and furthermore maintain the ability to self-renew or a similar ability.
